The LaReau Sisters are, by nature, night people. It's a shame, then, that their schedules require them to be conscious before noon. Though Kara and Jenna do their best to get to bed early, their brains don't shut down until after midnight (which is also when most of the good true crime shows air), so their heads sometimes don't hit their respective pillows until at least 2am.

What follows the next morning is not pretty. It involves puffy eyes, raspy voices, and a steady stream of hot coffee. And just one night of staying up late can throw Kara and Jenna off for an entire week, as it's all too easy for them to revert to their inherently-nocturnal, college all-nighter mode. If we're going to have the sleep habits of vampires, at least give us better outfits. (Kara requests a cape, or at least a capelet. Jenna would prefer something in velvet.)

Sorry for the bloggy delay, folks — the LaReau Sisters have not been able to connect until now, as Kara has been in NYC since last Wednesday dealing with a few critical deadlines (for books she's editing, not writing). In any case, Kara and Jenna just want to remind you that this is Banned Books Week, so we hope you've spent some time reading some taboo titles. If not, get out there and read something banned!
